Certified by who?
Tesla does not certify tint, PPF, ceramic coating or wrap installers. Its certified programs are for collision repair shops and for home charging and solar installers.
The film Tesla's app sells is put on by installers that the film brand certifies. That badge comes from the film maker, not from Tesla.

Teslas have huge glass and long, smooth panels. These are the details where a rushed job shows first.
Window tint
Model Y and Model S windshields and roofs, the Model 3 back glass and the Model X windshield all get tinted in one piece. Never two pieces, never half a window.

We look over your paint for 20 minutes, free, and lock your price before we start. Then we book your install.
Decontamination prep, a controlled bay and a certified install. A-pillars, sills and trim are covered as standard, and leftover film from your cut goes on your car.
You get our lifetime workmanship warranty, plus the maker's warranty on every film and coating.

Straight answers to what Tesla owners ask us most.
No. Tesla does not certify tint, PPF or coating installers. Tesla does run an approved program for collision repair shops, and a certified installer program for home charging and solar.
When a shop says it is "certified," ask: certified by who, and for what?
Tesla's app sells one brand of film. Tesla's own shop page says it is fitted by installers that film brand certifies. That certification comes from the film brand, not from Tesla.

No. Tesla's New Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover "paint and glass stone chips." Paint protection film is built to stop rock chips before they reach your paint.
It depends on what you want to stop. Film is physical impact protection. A ceramic coating is chemical protection, and it will not stop rock chips.
Plenty of our customers run both. LLumar Valor PPF already has a ceramic topcoat, so we won't coat brand-new film.
Indiana's limit is 30% VLT. On a sedan, that applies to every window, including the rear glass. On an SUV, truck or van, it applies to the front side windows, and the windows behind the driver can go any darkness. The windshield can only have a strip across the top, above the AS-1 line.

No. Ceramic film has no metal in it, so it won't interfere with cell signal, GPS, Bluetooth or keyless entry. That is one reason we install ceramic film only.
Most tint jobs take a few hours, based on the vehicle and package. You can wait in our lounge, or drop off and we will text you when it is ready.
Ceramic coating takes two days minimum, start to finish.
All our films are the best. The film is only as good as the install, and with our extensive training and experience, you won't even tell there is film on your vehicle.
