OUR COMMITMENT
Six years ago we made a decision and never looked back: we install ceramic window film exclusively. Not dyed or carbon film that fade purple. Not metalized that fights your signal. Just ceramic — the highest-performing film LLumar makes — on every vehicle, every time. It costs more. It’s worth more. And it’s the only thing we’ll put on your glass.

Authorized & Certified
FormulaOne Stratos and Pinnacle are sold only through certified LLumar SelectPro dealers — a small group held to the manufacturer’s highest standards for training and installation. We’re one of them. That means factory training, genuine film, and a transferable lifetime warranty backed by LLumar — not just us.

Where Our Film Sits
Window film has evolved through six generations. Each one performs better — and lasts longer — than the last. We build at the top of that ladder, every time.

WHY TINT WITH US
Tint is comfort, protection, and looks in one install. Done right with ceramic film, it transforms how your vehicle feels to drive — and protects everything inside it.

THE FILMS WE INSTALL
We install two films, and only two. Both ceramic. Both signal-safe. Both sit at the top of LLumar’s lineup. The only question is how much heat you want gone.

Nano-Ceramic- Premium Performance, Wisely Priced
The film we install most often, and the smart pick for drivers who want premium ceramic performance without overspecifying. Pinnacle is a non-metallized nano-ceramic delivering excellent heat rejection, 99% UV protection, signal-safe technology, and a transferable lifetime warranty. It’s the right ceramic for most vehicles, and the wise call when Stratos is out of reach.

PRICING by coverage

the installation process
Every common vehicle that rolls through our shop gets precision-cut using Eastman CORE software — the industry’s leading vehicle-specific cutting platform. CORE updates with every new model release, ensuring perfect fitment without ever touching a blade to your glass.
But the tint trade was built on hand-cutting, and we’ve never lost that skill. Custom vehicles, classics, exotics, and one-offs that CORE doesn’t have patterns for, get cut by hand — by techs with over a decade of hand-cutting experience. Done right, there’s still no blade on your glass.
We’re one of the few shops in the region with two custom in-house transfer boards built specifically for trimming film off the vehicle. No vehicle-as-cutting-surface. No scratched glass. Every install — CORE or hand-cut — finishes the same way: clean, precise, warranty-ready.

Our Philosophy
Every install that leaves Auto Obsessions has to meet our standards before it meets yours. We use the best films because cheap film fails. We hand-cut when we have to because shortcuts show up two years later. We refuse to take corners that future-you will regret.
If the cheapest option is what matters most, we’re not the right shop. If a tint job that still looks factory-fresh in 10 years matters, we’ll meet you where you are.

ASK THE PROS
Customers ask us the same questions over and over. Here's what we tell them — straight, no marketing fluff.
Indiana's limit is 30% VLT (visible light transmission): the window has to let more than 30% of light through. Which windows that covers depends on the vehicle:
Windshields can only have a tint strip across the top, above the AS-1 line marked by the manufacturer.
We tint to legal specifications by default. If you have a medical exemption or special request, we'll walk you through your options.
For Michigan, Illinois and the penalties, see our full window tint laws guide.
Most installations are completed in 2 to 4 hours depending on the vehicle and package:
You're welcome to wait in our customer lounge, or drop off and we'll text you when ready.
Yes — measurably. Premium ceramic films like LLumar FormulaOne Stratos block up to 97% of infrared heat, the wavelength of light that makes your car feel hot. Customers regularly report cabin temperatures 20–30°F cooler on sunny days compared to untinted or basic dyed tint. Your AC won't have to work as hard either, which can improve fuel economy in summer.
No. Ceramic film contains no metal — unlike older metalized films — so it won't interfere with cell phone signals, GPS, Bluetooth, toll transponders, satellite radio, or keyless entry. This is one of the key reasons we install ceramic exclusively.
Properly installed ceramic film from LLumar carries a transferable lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, cracking, color shift, and adhesive failure. We've installed Stratos and Pinnacle on vehicles that still look factory-fresh 10+ years later. Cheap dyed films typically start showing purple discoloration within 2–3 years — that's what our warranty protects you against.
Customers also have the option of purchasing an extended no-fault lifetime warranty.
We specialize in Stratos and Pinnacle — LLumar's two premium ceramic lines. CTX is LLumar's entry-level ceramic and is available by request. We don't lead with it because we believe in installing film that performs at the highest level. If budget is a concern, ask us — we'll walk you through your options honestly.
Factory tint is usually just dyed glass — not a film. It blocks some light but rejects almost no heat (around 10–15%). We can install ceramic film over factory-tinted glass to dramatically improve heat rejection and UV protection without making the windows look noticeably darker. Most luxury vehicles benefit significantly from this upgrade.
If you don't want to go any darker than your factory tint, we recommend our AIR80 film. It's a clear film that delivers both heat rejection and 99% UV protection.
Yes. We remove old tint as a standalone service or as part of a re-tint job. Old film with adhesive damage, bubbling, or purple haze can be tricky — we use proper techniques to avoid damaging defroster lines or antenna grids. Removal pricing varies by vehicle condition; we'll quote it after a quick inspection.
Yes — but only with the right film. Full windshield tinting requires near-clear ceramic film like LLumar Stratos 70 or Air Blue IR that blocks 60%+ of infrared heat without darkening visibility. These films are camera-safe for ADAS systems and rain sensors. Standard dark window film cannot legally be applied to windshields beyond the AS-1 strip.
Yes, but we recommend using foaming glass cleaner or our Auto Obsessions branded cleaner that does not contain ammonia. You can also fill a squirt bottle and add a small amount of Dawn dish soap. Just don't use any abrasive pads; a paper towel or squeegee is your best bet.

The lines we carry
LLumar SelectPro and Labocosmetica are the two we push hardest. Every line below it is installed in house, by our own certified technicians.
Ready When You Are
Send your vehicle and what you are after. A technician responds directly, not a salesperson. Prefer to talk it through? Call the shop.
Not sure what you need yet? Say what the vehicle is and what bothers you, and a technician will tell you what it actually needs.
