Your screen stays. Your iDrive knob stays. Your backup camera and factory sound stay. A small module adds CarPlay and Android Auto as one more source, and you switch to it like you switch to the radio.
It's reversible. The module comes out and the car is stock again, with no cut wiring. That matters on a lease and at trade-in.

Remote Start Questions
Will a remote start void my vehicle warranty?
No. Since 1975 the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act has protected you here. A maker can't make your warranty depend on using only their own products or repairs. A dealer who says "use our system or you'll void your warranty" is breaking that law.
Will installing a remote start damage my car?
No. Our European remote starts use OEM wiring methods and plug-in harnesses that need no soldering or cutting.
Do I have to give up a key?
Yes, for every EUROSTART BMW or MINI install. Some older BMWs don't need one, so call us. The key sits inside the remote start, and the car only sees it while the remote start is running. It's the safest way to start your car.
Can I just use my factory key fob to start it?
You can, but the factory remote only reaches about 200 feet. Every system comes with our Compustar R3 2-way remote with up to 3,000 feet of range. If you don't want another fob, add phone control for about $200 plus a yearly plan.
Does EUROSTART work on a manual transmission?
No, EUROSTART is automatic only. That doesn't mean it can't be done. As MECP certified installers we have other ways to do it. Call us for details. It costs more.
Can you remove it when I sell the car?
Yes. We uninstall any of our remote starts for free. Moving it to a new car needs a compatible vehicle and a full install fee, so call us first to see if it makes sense.
What does a EUROSTART kit do?
EUROSTART remote starts are designed for BMW models from 2009 to 2023 and MINI from 2014 to 2023, with a precision fit wiring harness and mounting bracket for an OEM quality install.
- Automatically turns on the OEM heated seats, with a user selectable heat level and interior activation temperature.
- Your keyless entry and comfort access keep working while the vehicle is remote started.
- Lock and unlock with the RF remote or the smartphone interface.
- User selectable runtime of 3, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 minutes.
- User settings can be changed using the steering wheel controls.
- Parklight flashes show the running status and diagnostic codes.
- Built-in temperature sensing and vehicle battery monitoring.
For safety and security, the vehicle must be locked to remote start, and the engine turns off if the vehicle is unlocked, a side door, the hood or the trunk is opened, or the brake is applied.
